Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applications for the Executive Director, Coding. This leadership role directs enterprise-wide coding operations, drives accuracy and compliance, and partners with clinical, finance, quality, and IT teams to optimize the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Master's degree in finance/business/health information.
Ten years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or related fields.
Five years of leadership experience.
Knowledge of large-scale coding requirements and healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities

Direct, administer, and lead centralized coding operations.
Establish enterprise coding strategy, standards and performance expectations.
Lead integration of AI-enabled coding technologies (CAC, NLP, analytics).
Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Finance, Compliance and IT.
Advance revenue cycle performance and quality metrics.
