Job summary

HMSA Careers is seeking a Director of AI and Automation to develop and drive the organization’s AI strategy in harmony with business goals. You will oversee AI projects from ideation through deployment, while mentoring a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts.

The role requires guiding cross-functional collaborations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and staying ahead of AI best practices in ethics and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement for AI/DS leadership role.
• Five years managing AI, Automation, ML, or DS projects.
• Two years supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's AI and automation strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Lead and mentor AI and automation teams of data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
• Collaborate with IT, product, operations, and compliance for successful outcomes.
• Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Establish and enforce best practices for AI model development and deployment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. in related field.
