Job summary

Entrust is seeking a Director, Business Development & Category Definition to create and scale a new market category around Agentic Trust. You will work across product, architecture, engineering, marketing and sales to position Entrust as the leader in enterprise AI trust solutions.

You will define the buyer problems, validate use cases, secure lighthouse customers, and build repeatable plays and commercial models to drive growth globally.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business development, category creation, market development, or enterprise technology growth.
• Proven success creating or scaling an emerging technology category, new market or ecosystem-led business.
• Experience leading ambiguous, zero-to-one initiatives and engaging senior executives.
• Experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, identity, cloud, SaaS or adjacent tech markets.
• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the customer problem, category boundaries, buyer urgency, value drivers and Entrust right to win.
• Lead lighthouse engagements and design-partner activities from discovery to agreement.
• Run structured discovery to test use cases, personas, budgets and willingness to pay.
• Shape product strategy, packaging, pricing, partnerships and investment choices.
• Collaborate across Product, Architecture, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Strategy and Executives.
