Job summary

The YMCA of Greenville is seeking an experienced Youth & Family Services Program Director to lead After School Child Care (ASCC) programs. You will oversee operations, staff recruitment and development, curriculum design, and field trips, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Youth & Family Services Director, you will drive program growth, partner with HR and leadership, and manage the branch budget while promoting YMCA values and family engagement across the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood, recreation, human services or equivalent.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience in school-aged childcare, teen programming, or day camp programming.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Afterschool program operations including staffing, planning, and daily implementation.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop part-time staff and volunteers.
• Develop high-quality childcare curricula and activities for diverse ages.
• Coordinate registrations, facilities, transportation, and field trips.
• Ensure compliance with state/local childcare regulations and safety procedures.
• Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
• Promote programs and recruit families to participate.
