Job summary

Atlanta Housing is seeking a Director of Housing Preservation to lead preservation efforts for a diverse real estate portfolio in Atlanta, GA. You will oversee a team, guide LIHTC transactions, manage RAD/HUD elements and ensure successful financial closings while aligning with mission-driven preservation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, real estate, finance or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate development, affordable housing or related area.
• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of LIHTC transactions and HUD financing programs preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of real estate professionals, set goals, monitor performance and mentor staff.
• Oversee preservation strategies for HomeFlex, Mixed and RAD portfolios with LIHTC/HUD coordination.
• Coordinate HUD submissions and ensure regulatory approvals are obtained.
• Develop RAD preservation strategies and manage deals through financial closing.
• Lead Restore Rebuild initiatives and monitor voucher utilization.
• Provide regular written reports to VP and leadership; analyze budgets and projections.
• Monitor market analytics and industry trends affecting the portfolio.
