Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA seeks a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead engineering teams across sites, drive strategic planning, and implement Industry 4.0, lean, and Six Sigma initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality aerospace production.

You will partner with R&D, production, quality, and IT, manage budgets, and guide organizational change while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and related standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of aerospace manufacturing engineering experience with leadership.
  • Experience leading matrixed engineering organizations and cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement proficiency.
  • Strong project management, problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor manufacturing engineering teams across sites to drive continuous improvement.
  • Set objectives, KPIs, and monitor progress for strategic goals.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration with R&D, production, quality and supply chain.
  • Drive Industry 4.0, automation, data analytics initiatives in manufacturing.
  • Oversee budget development and resource allocation.
  • Ensure AS9100 and related certifications; maintain safety and quality standards.
