Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking a Director of Operations in Newington, CT to lead the efficient production of machined components while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements.

The role focuses on strategic planning, team leadership, process optimization, safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. You will manage budgets, capacity planning, and stakeholder communications with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, or other related field.
• High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s.
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Full control of Profit and Loss of the business unit.
• Prepare and present budget plans with the assistance of Sales and Finance departments.
• Responsible for capacity planning, capital investments, and staffing to support business plans.
• Reviews monthly product overall costs and make adjustments to meet budgeted standards.
• Reviews parts non-quality activity weekly and drives corrective actions with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Defines yearly goals for the business unit and reviews progress quarterly.
• Monitors budget requests and identifies cost reductions across departments.
• Maintain customer schedules and communicate work progress to customers.
• Represents the company at customer visits and presentations.
