Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in advancement services, development, or a related field within higher education or a nonprofit organization.
• Bachelor’s degree required in business administration, nonprofit management, information systems, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, business administration, higher education administration, or a related discipline.
• Data management and donor reporting experience with strong analytic capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long‑term strategies for donor data management, stewardship, and operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic direction for the Advancement Services unit and align with fundraising goals and priorities.
• Oversee university gift fund management, ensuring endowments, restricted funds, and scholarships are handled per agreements and policies.
• Coordinate with the WSSU Foundation and offices to manage scholarship fund allocations and award criteria.
• Establish monitoring mechanisms to identify unspent funds and resolve utilization bottlenecks.
• Formulate and audit policies governing gift administration, fund setup, and regulatory compliance.
• Use data analysis and reporting to inform fundraising strategies and growth opportunities.
