NEOMED is a mission‑driven, community‑based medical university committed to educating health professionals, advancing discovery, and improving the health of our region. We are seeking a Director, Administration, who wants to contribute to meaningful work in a collaborative academic environment. The Director will lead the operational strategy and administrative excellence of the College of Medicine by overseeing key initiatives in operations, fiscal planning, human resources and communications while partnering with senior leadership to advance the College’s mission and strategic priorities.
The Director of Administration provides a high level of leadership in day‑to‑day operations, fiscal planning, human resources, and implementation of communication strategies and management of special initiatives within the College of Medicine. This position reports to the Senior Executive Director of Operations and also works collaboratively with the Dean and the Vice Dean.
Administrative Management and Oversight: Oversee and implement day‑to‑day operations for the College, including divisional business components such as procurement, contracts, human resources and project management. Supervise and mentor administrative support staff, evaluate performance and foster cross‑training among team members. Serve as liaison to collegiate, university and external constituents. Service on and support of various committees.
Fiscal Planning: Support annual COM budget process, requests and monitoring, including divisional variance reporting. Develop long‑range projections.
Human Resources: Collaborate with Senior Executive Director with position planning, including workload analysis and drafting position descriptions.
Communications: Develop, implement and evaluate annual communications plan as it relates to faculty and student engagement, student satisfaction and positioning of the College of Medicine. Design and implement strategies intended to increase visibility and engagement and improve web and social media presence in collaboration with the NEOMED Public Relations Department.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Starting Salary Range: $62,167 – $73,564, commensurate with experience.
