Job summary

Neos Talent in Chicago is seeking a Director for Accounting Advisory and Transformation to lead end-to-end engagements, provide GAAP expertise, and guide clients through transformation programs.

This hybrid role requires CPA, 10+ years in financial advisory, and willingness to travel to client sites; you will drive ERP and reporting improvements and business development across the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field; MBA/CFA preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial consulting and advisory services.
• Experience in operational accounting and GAAP (ASC 606, 805, 842).
• Willingness to travel and four office days per week in-office.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client engagements across financial advisory and controllership.
• Provide technical and strategic accounting guidance on GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Advise on M&A, carve-outs, and operating model transformations.
• Develop client relationships and revenue origination.
• Advise on ERP, close and consolidation technologies to improve reporting.
• Drive business development and cross-sell opportunities.
