Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting is seeking an Associate Director of Accounting Advisory with extensive experience in advisory and controllership for PE-backed and middle-market companies. You will lead client delivery, mentor junior staff, and drive process improvements across accounting close, reporting, and controls.

You will leverage ERP tools like NetSuite, Sage, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks, and BI platforms to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience spanning advisory and controllership roles in commercial or PE-backed portfolio companies.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and tools such as NetSuite, Sage, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks, Workiva, DFIN, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, Python.
• Ability to leverage AI and automation to optimize accounting processes and reporting.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and lead teams.
• Track record as a change agent implementing new ideas efficiently.
• Mentoring and leading teams on project delivery.

Responsibilities

• General Accounting Close Support: streamline monthly close, reconcile, and report.
• Operations Support: liaise with business units and advise on AI/automation to improve forecasting and decision making.
• Lead client delivery, develop junior team members, and contribute to business development.
