Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting LLC is hiring for an Associate Director in California to lead client delivery, manage teams, and develop junior staff. The role spans accounting close, financial reporting, and operational advisory across PE-backed and growth companies.

You will implement cloud-based financial systems and drive automation to improve accuracy and efficiency. The position requires 8+ years in advisory/controllership, strong ERP experience, leadership ability, and a CPA (preferred).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience spanning advisory and controllership roles for commercial or PE-backed portfolio companies
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and tools such as NetSuite, Sage, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks, Workiva, DFIN, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, Python
• Ability to leverage AI and automation to optimize accounting processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive operational efficiency
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships
• Track record as an influential change agent, championing and implementing new ideas efficiently
• Mentoring and leading teams to resolve multi-faceted issues

Responsibilities

• Aid clients in developing a streamlined monthly close process
• Assist with cash-to-accrual conversions and the creation of supporting schedules
• Validate the existence of assets and prepare associated roll forwards
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (intercompany, inventory, cash, prepaids, etc.)
• Support auditing and tax compliance activities and develop internal controls and policies
• Help prepare budgets or forecasts and develop reports for management or regulatory bodies
• Guide the implementation of cloud-based finance and accounting systems
• Manage the preparation of journal entries, invoices, and account reconciliations
• Guide external audit processes
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate financial systems during acquisitions
