Job summary
Lamar University’s Center for Academic Success (CAS) Director leads strategic development, assessment, and continuous improvement of academic support and transition services for undergraduates. The role oversees programs, hires and trains staff, and collaborates with campus partners to boost student persistence and graduation outcomes.
The Director manages budgets, reports program outcomes, and guides policy development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- At least five (5) years of experience in academic support, instructional support, or student supports services in the education setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all CAS programming, activities, and initiatives.
- Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of CAS staff.
- Partner with campus administrators to advance visibility and impact of CAS programs.
- Assess and evaluate effectiveness through data and performance metrics.
- Develop and implement policies for CAS programs and activities.
- Promote professional development for CAS staff and retention personnel.
- Monitor CAS budgets, expenditures, and assets.
