Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. seeks a Director of Absence Consulting to lead client engagements across FMLA, disability, PTO and related programs. You will shape strategy, deliver high-quality client work, and mentor teams while staying current on industry trends and regulatory changes.

You will build trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders, manage cross-functional projects, and contribute to practice strategy and offerings. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; 5+ years leading people in a high-performance consulting environment.
• 15+ years of experience in designing/managing group disability and absence management plans in consulting, brokerage, or carrier environments.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce senior-level reports.
• Willingness to travel 40-75% as required by client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide valued-added consulting on large, sophisticated absence and disability management projects.
• Deliver client work products and manage project plans with budgets and timelines.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure alignment with client objectives and cross-functional teams.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships and stay current on industry trends; contribute to thought leadership.
• Mentor internal team members and contribute to special projects and libraries of assets.
