Job summary

NRG Energy, including its Vivint Smart Home subsidiary, seeks a Director of Product Management for Partner Experiences who will own strategy and end-to-end integration of third-party devices into the Vivint Home ecosystem. This high-impact role requires autonomy and deep technical collaboration with external partners to enable seamless, scalable experiences.

You will drive roadmap ownership, partner evaluation, and standards governance while aligning with engineering, security, and legal teams

Qualifications

8+ years of product management experience, with focus on developer platforms or IoT ecosystems.
Strong track record leading complex technical integrations with tier-1 partners.
Experience delivering multi-phase hardware/software launches across distributed orgs.

Responsibilities

Own multi-year 3P partner integration roadmaps and strategy.
Evaluate external hardware partners and prioritize ecosystem opportunities.
Define interoperability baselines and ensure native performance in Vivint app.
Collaborate with Core Platform, Cloud Infra, and Security to design scalable SDKs/APIs.
Author BRDs/PRFAQs and secure exec alignment for ecosystem expansion.
Influence external partners and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
Govern integration testing, telemetry review, and post-launch performance.
