Job summary

NRG Energy's Vivint Smart Home division seeks a Director of Product Management for Partner Experiences to own the multi-year strategy and integration of third-party devices into the Vivint Home ecosystem. This role is an autonomous, individual contributor position focused on deep technical partnerships and scalable platform growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience.
• 4+ years building developer platforms, partner ecosystems, or connected smart home environments.
• Experience leading complex, technical product integrations with tier-1 consumer electronics or software partners.
• BS or MS in a technical field; equivalent practical engineering experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year product strategy, prioritization, and technical execution blueprint for 3P device integrations.
• Identify external partners to fill portfolio gaps and unlock new-to-world smart home experiences.
• Define performance, security, and UX baselines for seamless native integration inside the Vivint app ecosystem.
• Partner with Core Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security to design scalable SDKs and APIs.
• Drive standards alignment with Matter, Thread, and cloud-to-cloud APIs for easier onboarding.
• Author BRDs, PRFAQs, and data-driven narratives for executive alignment.
• Interface with external partners' product/engineering teams to align roadmaps with Vivint architecture.
• Influence across internal teams (Software, Legal, UX, QA) to enable collaboration and execution.
• Establish rigorous integration testing and post-launch telemetry to monitor performance and satisfaction.
