Job summary

Critical Loop, based in Torrance, CA, seeks a Head of Operations to own deployment, field commissioning, and 24/7 performance of a 100 MW+ fleet. You will design the commissioning program, crew structure, and service organization to support rapid growth on customer sites.

Lead a safety‑driven, cost‑efficient operations team, partner with engineering and field teams, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and travel to sites across North America as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in field operations, commissioning, or service within energy storage or related field, with 5+ years leading teams.
• Experience running 24/7 field service with on-call rotations and escalations.
• Deep hands-on electrical competence: switchgear, inverters, transformers, controls.
• Experience building a commissioning program from scratch with test procedures and turnover docs.
• Experience owning operations budgets and service agreements with OEMs/contractors.
• Willingness to relocate to Southern California and travel to North America.

Responsibilities

• 24/7 Asset Operations & Maintenance: run coverage, on-call rotations, response-time commitments.
• Deployment & Field Commissioning: end-to-end field execution, commissioning program owner.
• Safety & Compliance: ensure safety standards and regulatory adherence.
• Vendor & Third-Party Management: manage OEM/supplier relationships and warranty strategies.
• KPIs & Performance Improvement: define operating KPIs, capacity modeling for growth.
• People Leadership & Capability Building: build and mentor a high-performing ops team.
