Job description

Responsibilities
  1. This position has oversight to ensure that clients are safe, have all physical needs met, socially engaged and developed through programming.
  2. Oversees residential services to ensure that the residential units are safe, clean and orderly.
  3. Advocates and intervenes in the concerns and issues of clients and staff.
  4. Performs a daily review of the AV in a Day review forms of Client Care Tech Managers and Client Care Techs
  5. Performs a daily review of all incident reports
  6. Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulation
  7. Establishes the on-going staffing plan to recruit, train and retain staffing necessary to reach our residential capacity goals
  8. Develops, implements and reviews the food services plan to ensure the client's meals exceed quality, safety and nutritional requirements.
  9. Develops, implements and reviews a programming plan that facilitates the client's development in the areas outlined in the DCF PPS Standard Manual with measurable outcomes.
  10. Develops, implements and reviews an on-going staffing plan to help recruit, train and retain staffing necessary to reach our residential capacity goals.
  11. All plans are periodically reviewed plan to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives are
  12. Directs the activities for the review, audit, monitoring and evaluation of programming performance and services and ensures the implementation of program modifications to reflect the changing needs of the
  13. Regularly reports to the Executive Director on work progress any issues and concerns.
  14. Provides support to the Executive Director for regular assignments and special projects.
  15. Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and clients
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  1. Frequently move/lift between 25-50 pounds, depending on assignment requirements
  2. Perform all duties that may require sitting, kneeling, squatting and walking
  3. Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age or older
  2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a Social or Behavioral Sciences discipline
  3. Three (3) years related work experience and at least two (2) years supervisory experience
  4. Familiarity with mental health theory and practice
  5. Proficient technology skills utilizing either a Macintosh or Windows platform, including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
  1. Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  2. Knowledgeable and sensitive in working with culturally diverse staff and clients
  3. Solid knowledge in social helping and a positive approach to complex mental health issues
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both oral and written.
  5. Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment and confidentiality with sensitive information
  8. Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, community agencies, and consumers
OTHER POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  1. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must possess a current state driver's license and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
  2. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check and a physical exam and TB test
