Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Directional Drill Operator/Locator to support underground conduit and fiber optic installation. You will operate horizontal directional bore equipment, coordinate with the Drill Locator, and ensure public safety on every job site.

You should have 2+ years of urban directional drilling experience and a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. MasTec offers strong benefits and a commitment to safety, with opportunities to grow within a nationwide

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• 2+ years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment.
• Ability to read maps, drawings and diagrams for the project build process.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Locate a Horizontal Directional Driller for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
• Operate a horizontal directional bore in collaboration with the Drill Locator to install coax and fiber systems.
• Ensure the safety of the public and other underground utility facilities.
• Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of these facilities.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day.
