Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Directional Drill Operator/Locator to support underground conduit and fiber optic installations. You will work with a team to safely bore and install systems, interpret maps and drawings, and coordinate daylighting of utilities.

A valid Class A CDL is required, with a clean driving record, and you will be home daily on long-term projects in an urban environment. Compensation ranges by experience with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support directional drilling for installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
• Operate a horizontal directional bore with the Drill Locator to install coax and fiber systems.
• Ensure public safety and safety of other underground utility facilities.
• Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of these facilities.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily.
