Job summary

ADB Companies Inc is hiring a Laborer II to support outside plant installation on utility construction sites. The role requires safety-first teamwork, operating heavy equipment such as a drill or bucket truck, and assisting with setup and closeout tasks across various sites.

The candidate should have 1+ year of utility construction experience, 6+ months operating heavy equipment, and a valid driver’s license (CDL A preferred). High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of utility construction experience.
• 6+ months of equipment operating experience (Drill, Hydro, Mini, Bucket Truck).
• Valid driver’s license; CDL A preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (ability to obtain within 6 months).
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general manual labor in all weather conditions, including hand digging, installing utilities, moving material, inspecting ground conditions, and traffic control.
• Supports crew with jobsite setup and closeout tasks: loading/unloading trucks, taking photos, setting up cones and signs, prepping equipment.
• Operates heavy equipment (directional drill, mini excavator, hydro truck, bucket truck) with limited guidance from an experienced operator.
• Reads prints and construction drawings; under training, basic level utility location.
• Safety is emphasized; participate in pre-task, safety checks and risk assessments; adhere to procedures.
• Provides training and support to entry level laborers; supports production reports.
