Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC in Savannah, GA seeks a Directional Drill Operator to install underground telecom cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore path, operate drill equipment, and verify utilities by potholing.

Candidates must be 18+, have US work authorization, a HS diploma or GED, and a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it. Experience with drilling equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including setup and design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate drill equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify utilities by potholing to confirm bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
