Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to run drill equipment and install underground telecom cables and infrastructure. You’ll determine bore paths, locate utilities, and manage site setup, safety, and maintenance in all weather conditions.

The role requires a state CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it, a HS diploma or GED, and US work authorization. This demanding position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities, limitations and setup.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill set up and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Operator is $24.00 - $35.00 .
