Job summary

Radiance Technologies seeks a Directed Energy Test Technician to support the Test and Training Group. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electronic systems per specifications and DoD regulations.

Adept at reading diagrams and blueprints, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, multitask across projects, maintain detailed records, and generate delivery-quality documentation under field and lab conditions.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a clearance
• 2+ years of hands-on technical maintenance or field service experience
• High school diploma required; Associate degree or trade certification preferred
• Proficiency in soldering, crimping, splicing, cable fabrication, and control panel building
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and work with hand/power tools
• Ability to travel up to 25% for extended durations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with reading diagrams and blueprints
• Familiarity with UAS platforms and directed energy environments (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms to meet target profile requirements
• Serve as remote pilot in command for UAS target flights during live-fire testing
• Integrate sensors, telemetry, and tracking gear onto UAS platforms
• Perform pre/post-flight inspections and troubleshooting of UAS hardware/software
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair and test electrical modules and wire harnesses
• Operate shop tools and equipment including calipers and micrometers
• Draft Test Incident Reports and maintain detailed troubleshooting records
• Generate delivery-quality documentation of procedures and best practices
• Travel up to 25% and work in field and lab environments
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to achieve project objectives
• Ensure compliance with safety rules for high-energy systems
• Inspect, test, and verify data accuracy from experiments
