Job summary

Radiance Technologies in Huntsville, AL, seeks an Aerospace Engineer to bridge engineering and flight operations. Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a clearance
• 2+ years of hands-on technical maintenance or field service experience
• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• Ability to work in office and outside environment
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
• Ability to work independently to achieve project objectives by deadline
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with CAD applications to include SolidWorks or similar
• 3D printing experience
• Some programming experience with MATLAB, C#, C++, or Python

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and maintain UAS platforms to meet target profile requirements
• Serve as remote pilot in command for UAS target flights during live-fire testing
• Integrate sensors, tracking aids, and telemetry onto UAS platforms
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to plan, execute, and analyze live-fire test events
• Perform pre-flight inspections, post-flight maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAS hardware and software
• Maintain detailed flight logs and maintenance records
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules and wire harnesses
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications
• Travel 25% for extended durations
• Write detailed test reports and share results with engineers
