Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with defense primes, directed energy system integrators, beam director/gimbal integrators or electro-optical/IR system integrators.
• Background in systems engineering, integration engineering, test engineering, field engineering, automation engineering or related applied technical field.
• Experience with complex electro-mechanical, optical, aerospace, defense, robotics, automation, high-power or customer-integrated systems.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements, interface definitions and test plans.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, configuration discipline and issue-management skills.
• Ability to work directly with customers, integrators and senior technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of integration risk, field support, testing and customer-facing engineering execution.
• Ability to work as the first U.S. Systems Engineer in customer discussions and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. technical integration support for directed energy customers and primes.
• Support laser source integration into larger directed energy systems.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering requirements and testing plans.
• Coordinate issues between U.S. customers, operations and global teams.
• Support interface control, documentation and reviews.
• Provide feedback to internal teams based on customer needs and field performance.
• Assist with early assembly, testing and field support activities as the U.S. operation scales.
• Help build repeatable engineering processes and customer support methods.
