Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Engineering Analyst specializing in Laser Deconfliction and Space Mission Assurance to support a high-priority national security space mission. The role involves analyzing orbital data, identifying threats, and delivering technical assessments to mission operators and decision-makers.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in orbital mechanics, flight safety operations, and space-domain threats, and will contribute to mission protection across a fast-paced national security

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA.
• 2+ years of experience using flight safety and orbital analysis tools such as ASW, SuperCombo, STK, or comparable mission systems. STK Level II Certification may be substituted.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine conjunction assessments and laser deconfliction analyses to protect mission assets.
• Validate integrity of orbital and mission data used for flight safety and mission protection decisions.
• Develop and deliver deconfliction products, risk assessments, and operational recommendations.
• Create and refine procedures, checklists, and workflows to improve mission effectiveness and analysis consistency.
• Support integration of new data sources and analytical tools into mission systems.
• Improve TTPs for flight safety, space-domain awareness, and mission protection operations.
