Job summary

KBR is seeking an Engineering Laser Analyst at the Intermediate level to join the National Security Solutions team on-site at a government facility in Virginia. You will plan, execute, and analyze vulnerability tests to identify weaknesses in mission-critical systems, developing test plans and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s with substantial relevant experience, or substantial equivalent.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience in vulnerability testing, penetration testing, or operational security assessments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and risk management methodologies.
• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools and test management systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed vulnerability test plans for mission-critical systems.
• Execute vulnerability tests under simulated and real-world conditions.
• Analyze results, identify weaknesses, and recommend actions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards during testing.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate findings into designs.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for stakeholders.
• Support readiness reviews and risk assessment activities.
• Mentor junior engineers in test execution and analysis.
