Job summary

Bank of Hawaii is seeking a Direct to Consumer Loan Officer in Honolulu to generate mortgage volume from the real estate market. Under the Residential Loan Manager, you will gather income and asset data, validate information, and process loan documents in accordance with investor and bank guidelines.

You will maintain a robust pipeline, meet closing deadlines, and deliver excellent customer service by communicating with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years in mortgage banking with understanding of loan process and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with PC applications and office software; ability to use a financial calculator.

Responsibilities

• Gathers income, asset, credit, and property information for residential loans and validates data.
• Processes documents per investor and regulatory guidelines to ensure data integrity.
• Maintains pipeline and meet processing turn times and closing deadlines.
• Provides proactive customer service and communicates with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters.
• Interviews applicants to determine loan eligibility and cross-sell Bank of Hawaii products.
• Assembles documentation and makes recommendations for loan approval.
