RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Supervisor in New Bern, NC. The role focuses on direct supervision of two or more Direct Support Employees, coordinating care and ensuring quality residential services for individuals with developmental and mental health needs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (associate degree in health-related field preferred) and relevant experience. CPR/first aid certification is a plus; valid driver’s license may be needed for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate Degree in a health-related area or two years’ health-related experience preferred.
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.
• CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification a plus.
• Must pass background check and drug screen; valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of two or more Direct Support Employees.
• Interview, hire recommendations, and training of staff; plan, assign, and direct work.
• Review performance; reward, motivate, and promote team; address complaints.
• Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
• Ensure people supported live in a clean, maintained home and yard.
• Assist in implementing services and supports per Individual Support Plan.
• Carry out Direct Support Professional responsibilities as assigned.
