Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, seeks Direct Support Professionals at Whitten Regional Center in Clinton to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and help them achieve long-term wellness.

The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and up to $3.50/hour shift differential for applicable shifts, with opportunities to develop supervisory and caregiving

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required with 1 year experience in intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Alternative: High School Diploma or GED with 5 years experience, or Associate's with 3 years.
Ability to supervise teams and maintain compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

Supervise Direct Support Professionals I and II under the DSP Manager.
Ensure ISP documentation is complete and monitor consumer safety and care.
Monitor behavior data, ISP training, and GER entries in THERAP.
Report significant events or abuse promptly per policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
