Job summary

Priority hire Behavior Management Adult Day Program

We're looking for compassionate Direct Support Staff for our Behavior Management Adult Day Program. You'll implement instructional and environmental changes that improve behavior by building new skills and reducing behaviors that get in the way.

You'll support people with diverse needs, including those who need enhanced staffing ratios and those with a dual diagnosis, in inclusive, community-based settings. You'll carry out Behavior Intervention and Prevention Plans, and drive clients across our service area.

What you'll do

• 01 Bring individuals into inclusive, community-based activities.
• 02 Teach the functional skills people need for community life, self-advocacy, work and self-care.
• 03 Help with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and feeding) with comfort and dignity.
• 04 Keep everyone safe and well during every activity.
• 05 Manage and de-escalate challenging behavior, including self-injury and physical or verbal aggression.
• 06 Keep accurate, timely records of progress, incidents and other key details.
• 07 Work closely with other direct care staff and leadership.
• 08 Drive clients safely to and from activities and community outings.
