Job summary

Imagine is dedicated to providing enriching and supportive services for adults with varying needs through an organized Adult Day Program in California. The program emphasizes independence, skill-building, and community engagement while ensuring compliance with Title 17 and Title 22 CCR.

We seek an experienced Program Director to lead the program, champion inclusion, mentor staff, and collaborate with families and partners to promote participation and advocacy in a person-centered environment

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a human services delivery system with at least one year in a management or supervisory position.
• Experience or training in care and supervision of adults in licensed day programs or day health care facilities.
• Strong understanding of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations governing adult day programs in California.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to advocate effectively for participants and promote a culture of inclusion and respect.
• Recruit, employ, train, evaluate, and terminate day program staff as needed.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized program plans aligned with participant goals and needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Director to lead our Adult Day Program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving individuals with disabilities and be committed to creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages participation, growth, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Adult Day Program, ensuring compliance with Title 17 and Title 22 CCR: Sharing responsibility with the Program Manager.

  • (A) Care and supervision of clients in a licensed adult day program, or an adult day health care facility.
  • (B) Care and supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program
• Strong understanding of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations governing adult day programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to advocate effectively for participants and promote a culture of inclusion and respect.
• Recruit, employ, train, and evaluate qualified day program staff, and terminate employment of staff.
• Acknowledge the receipt of the Department's correspondence, deficiency notices, or field reports when the Department has requested a response.
• Ensure the timely correction of all cited deficiencies.
• Provide initial orientation for all staff and ongoing educational and training programs for the direct care staff.
