Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to obtain Class D license within 30 days of hire.
• Pass CPR, MANDT, and other required testing.
• Experience working with IDD population preferred.
• Experience assisting others with ADLs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as models for appropriate behavior.
• May provide transportation to and from facilities and activities.
• Performs other work-oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for training participants in skills and daily activities, training, and documentation for IDD day programs.
• Eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site.
• Help individuals learn daily living skills and use pragmatic training techniques.
• Demonstrates the importance of community involvement and maintaining relationships.
