This position is part-time and will have options for weekend work. The Direct Support Professional plays a vital role in providing assistance with daily activities, accompanying consumers on outings in the community, and supporting treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Responsibilities

• Experience assisting others with ADLs preferred
• Act as models for appropriate behavior.
• May provide transportation to and from facilities and to and from activities in the community.
• Performs other work-oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for training participants in skills and conduct daily activities, training, and documentation for IDD day programs.
• Will eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site.
• Will help individuals learn skills for daily living appropriate to a home environment and will use pragmatic training techniques to develop these skills.
