Job summary

Vanderheyden Hall Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time, on-site role in Troy, NY. You will assist individuals to gain independence, follow person-centered plans, and participate in daily activities, documentation, and trainings.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with clean MVR, and medication certification. All positions are awake, with a minimum of 20 hours per week and a $20 per hour rate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR to drive agency vehicles.
• Must obtain and maintain medication certification.
• Ability to write legibly and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Employs procedures to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Provides direct care to individuals per agency policy.
• Implements supervision for daily schedules and life skills activities.
• Completes required documentation per Agency, Medicaid, and OPWDD standards.
• Dispenses medication per agency policy.
• Safely transports individuals as required by supervision level.
• Assists individuals with tasks per treatment plan.
• Participates in treatment team or recommendations.
