Job summary

Devereux in Bridgeton, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work with individuals in day programs, providing safe supervision and coaching to help with daily living skills. You will participate in community activities and support personal and social development.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and being 18 or older. Ten days of paid onsite orientation are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic and team-oriented approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy during the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs meeting social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
