Job summary

Devereux is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support individuals in Sewell, NJ, with daily living skills, transportation, and community activities. The role emphasizes safety, empathy, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Starting pay is $20.42 per hour, with increases based on education and experience. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits and a path for growth within a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Eager, empathetic, and teamwork oriented in caring for individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills, such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
