Job summary

Weinberg Commons, a department of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our Residential Program in New Jersey. Full-time and part-time roles available, offering a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

You will support individuals in developing independence, assist with daily living skills, coordinate with guardians and staff, and participate in training and IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license in New Jersey.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral language.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals to develop independence skills.
• Assist with daily living skills as needed by individuals.
• Advocate for individuals and foster healthy relationships with peers and staff.
• Communicate effectively with guardians, parents and support personnel.
