Job summary

Modern Support Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living, activities, and community participation.

You will mentor, teach, and advocate, helping with personal care, transportation, medical appointments, and social engagement, while respecting each person’s choices and goals. Training and a collaborative team support your growth.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and a CA driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Weekend availability on rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living skills and personal care.
• Help individuals access communities and participate in activities.
• Assist with medical appointments.
• Encourage social connections and peer interactions.
• Promote health, safety, independence, and self-advocacy.
