Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem options with competitive pay.

You will help clients with daily living skills, transportation, and personal care while following individualized plans and ensuring safety. Training is provided; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years old or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with I/DD is preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to adults with IDD in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
