Job summary

League Education & Treatment Center in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional to join an adult day treatment program. You will collaborate with a team to support adults with special needs, helping them develop daily living and social skills in a structured, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include implementing support plans, supervising activities, maintaining records, and working with clinicians to ensure goal-directed, person-centered care while prioritizing

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills are mandatory.
Previous experience working with adults or families is required.
Must have a High School diploma.

Responsibilities

Assist each consumer in skill development in independent living, adaptive behaviors, socialization, recreation and daily living activities; implement all relevant support plans and, where needed, intervention.
Supervise consumers in the community, reinforcing skills taught in group sessions while ensuring health, safety and welfare.
Maintain case records, incident reports, statistics and other related reports.
Work closely with clinicians to reinforce expectations for all consumers to ensure goal-directed and collaborative care.
