Job summary

Adjoin is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional in Visalia, CA to assist clients with daily activities and community participation. You will support independence, prepare meals, and help with grooming and household tasks while ensuring safety and dignity.

Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and hold or be willing to obtain First-Aid and CPR certification. A valid CA driver’s license and insured vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Aptitude for confidentiality, organizational skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Certification in an approved First-Aid and CPR class; or successful completion within 45 days of the date of hire.
• Insured, registered vehicle in safe working condition, and proof of current CA driver’s license.
• Adjoin’s client case management platform requires employees to utilize a mobile smart device with reliable internet connectivity and data to complete certain essential job tasks. This position requires the employee to have a mobile smart device available to perform certain required essential functions, for which reasonable reimbursement is provided to the employee.

Responsibilities

• Advance client’s decision-making, productivity and participation in a range of daily activities.
• Promote independence in daily activities while supporting clients with disabilities, meals, grooming and household tasks.
• Implement individual training and support programs under supervision.
• Maintain positive communications with supervisor, clients, landlords, employers and families.
• Participate in evaluation of the client through task analyses and assessments.
• Document activity records, incidents and evaluations timely and accurately.
