EOS in Sacramento, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, self-directed lives. You will provide direct support, teaching, coaching, and facilitation aligned with Person-Centered Plans.

Responsibilities include supervising participants, developing activities, assisting with daily living tasks and medication support, documenting progress, and collaborating with families and agencies to ensure safety,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Provide person-centered supervision and instruction that promotes independence, dignity, inclusion, communication, social engagement, and PCP goals.
• Develop and facilitate curriculum for learning, social, pre-vocational, and community activities using technology and other resources.
• Provide personal care and assistance with ADLs, including hygiene, toileting, dressing, eating, mobility, lifting, transferring, and positioning; assist with medications as directed.
• Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports, and other required documentation; report changes in health or safety.
• Collaborate with families, coworkers, supervisors, and community partners to support participants and PCP goals.
