Job summary

Choices for People is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with disabilities develop daily living, social, communication, and community inclusion skills under the Person Centered Support Plan. This role delivers individualized supports, facilitates activities, and promotes safe, respectful service delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals served, families, and team members.
• Ability to follow Person Centered Support Plans (PCSPs) and professional guidance.
• Ability to document services accurately using electronic systems.
• Knowledge of person-centered practices and inclusion principles.
• Must have Missouri Class “E” Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safe, respectful environment that invites individual choice and growth.
• Provide person-centered support to promote independence and community inclusion.
• Deliver individualized and group services per PCSP and organizational policies.
• Facilitate structured day programs, room and community activities.
• Support daily living skills including personal care and mobility.
• Maintain spaces and participate in routine housekeeping and program tasks.
• Promote community participation and transportation where needed.
• Complete required documentation promptly per regulations.
