Job summary

Delta-T Group Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Shelter Advocates in Lowell, MA. These roles are Independent Contractor (1099) and involve working across three shifts to support homeless families in a 24/7 shelter environment.

Responsibilities include engaging residents, conducting rounds for safety, assisting with meals, crisis intervention, and maintaining shelter cleanliness and order, with training and meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Previous work with homeless individuals and/or families, disabilities or other at-risk populations.
• Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment, adequate communication skills - both written and oral
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
• Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 5-20 lbs., and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Haitian or Spanish language skills encouraged to apply.

Our Client is seeking Direct Support Shelter Advocates

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

This position is part of a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week team of professionals providing shelter and support for homeless families. We are responsible for the provision of basic services to clients and for the safe day-to-day operation of the shelter. The shelter is located in Lowell, MA.

Our client's current needs are for first shift (7am-3pm), second shift (3pm-11pm), and third shift (11pm-7am).
