Job summary

Delta-T Group Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Advocates to join a residential shelter team in Worcester, MA. You will provide basic shelter services, engage with residents, and help ensure safety and order across 24/7 operations.

The role covers shifts from 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am. Prior experience with at-risk populations and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred; training and supervision are provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Previous work with homeless individuals and/or families, disabilities or other at-risk populations.
• Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment, adequate communication skills - both written and oral.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
• Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move equipment up to 20 lbs, remaining stationary part of the time

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

This position is part of a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week team of professionals providing shelter and support for homeless families. We are responsible for the provision of basic services to clients and for the safe day-to-day operation of the shelter. The shelter is located in Worcester, MA.

Our client's current needs are for first shift (7am-3pm), second shift (3pm-11pm), and third shift (11pm-7am).

• Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 5-20 lbs., and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
