Job summary

Accel in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Direct Support Provider to assist in instruction and training of members to promote educational, social, and physical growth as defined in each member's ISP.

The role involves planning and delivering training materials, supervising members during daily activities and events, and supporting personal care tasks while maintaining accurate records and adhering to Accel policies.

Qualifications

• Plan, prepare, and implement training materials, activities, and programs for members under supervision.
• Supervise members during arrivals, departures, drills, meetings, outings and throughout the day.
• Instruct and assist with personal care, nutrition, finances, relationships as per ISP.
• Maintain accurate member records per DDD specifications and stay current with filings.
• Ensure regular attendance and compliance with Accel policies and procedures.

Overview of Position:

A Direct Support Provider assists in the instruction and training of members designed to promote educational, social, and physical growth needed to achieve the skill levels as identified in each member's Individual Service Plan (ISP).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (includes but limited to):

• Plan, prepare, and implement training materials, activities, and programs for members under the supervision of the Adult Services Manager
• Supervise members in their arrival and departure and during emergency drills, meetings, outings, and at all other times during the workday
• Skill in instructing and assisting members in personal care and hygiene and all activities of daily living such as proper nutrition, personal finances, and interpersonal relationships
• Maintain accurate records on all members assigned to the program and skilled at keeping up-to-date filing systems according to DDD specifications
• Manage regular attendance and comply with Accel policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three months of experience working with adults who have special needs.
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Prevention & Support, Article 10/Article 10, and CPR/First Aid
• Seeking full-time position: Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)
