Maxim Healthcare Services in Petaluma, CA is seeking an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to assist individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. This on-site role involves one-to-one behavioral interventions, daily activity support, and data collection under a Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities include assisting with self-care, communication, social and cognitive skills, and crisis intervention, with opportunities for PT or FT schedules and career development through

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• At least 1 year working with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related fields preferred.
• Current in-person CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Child or willingness to obtain.
• TB test updated within past 90 days or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing and ambulation.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals in the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children (or willing to get)
• Updated TB test within past 90 days (or willing to get)
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
