Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Direct Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The role focuses on one-to-one behavioral interventions and supporting daily activities to improve self-help, communication, social and cognitive skills.

You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, dressing and mobility, while implementing and collecting data for Behavior Support Plan goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals who have special needs and challenging/ aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.

• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, meals, dressing, and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed

Requirements
